Unfortunately, Insurance is not accepted. Payment in full for service is made at the beginnig of each session. If you have a PPO insurance plan, a superbill can be provided on a monthly basis and you can work with your insurance carrier to obtain partial reimbursement.

Why insurance is not accepted:

Third party reimbursement (insurance) poses a threat to client's confidentiality and is not in the best interest of the client.

For example:

1. All of your personal information, including a diagnosis, goes into a central computer which can be made available to any physician, college, law enforcement agency, military branch, etc and can be used against you or your children in the future.

2. Most insurance companies only authorize a limited number of sessions regardless of the recommendations of the patient and the therapist. It is not in the best interest of the client to have an employee of a managed care system, who is not participating in client sessions, make critical therapeutic decisions.

3. Most managed care plans do not cover bereavement and life adjustment issues. They only cover presenting problems that meet the definition of "Mental Illness". Such a diagnosis can cause clients problems in making future changes to their insurance and employment status.

Cash, check or credit card are accepted for payment.

Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
